About Us

We give technology a second life through expert diagnostics and true component‑level repair. Where others stop at “beyond repair”, we dive deeper restoring devices most would write off and proving that unrepairable is usually just unexplored.

Our Story

Where It All Began

An electronics engineering student’s bedroom back in 2013. On the right hand side of the picture you can see my very first workbench, an old computer stand repurposed with electronic testing equipment.

Among all the electronic devices in this picture each one tested, repaired, and learned from the most important has to be the 1980s Ms. Pac‑Man machine. As a child, I spent countless hours playing it, chasing the all time best high score, absorbed in the colours, the sounds, and the mystery of what was happening inside. Looking back, I’m certain that somewhere deep in those early memories, seeing the motherboard and various components woking together sparked something in me, a fascination with electronics and a desire to understand how it all worked.

That arcade machine wasn’t just a game. It was the spark that set me on the path to becoming an electronics engineer.

Growing the Craft

The next photo is from around four years later a Friday evening spent repairing a damaged laptop, still using that same old workbench. By then I’d added a few more tools to the setup: a dual‑variable power supply, a Rigol oscilloscope, a hot‑air soldering station, a Fluke multimeter, an iFixit kit, and proper LED lighting. Small upgrades, but each one made a big difference as I kept learning, experimenting, and sharpening my skills.

At the time, I was working as an electronic engineering technician at the power‑electronics company where I’d completed my apprenticeship. Outside of work, most of my repair work happened at home fixing my own devices or repairing family and friends faulty devices. It was a period of steady growth, building experience one repair at a time and laying the groundwork for what would eventually become MAD Electronics.

A Slight Change in Direction

In 2018, an opportunity came up to move into software development. Coding had been a major part of my electronics degree, so I already had the fundamentals, and the role offered something I couldn’t ignore, more financial stability and the chance to travel and work abroad.

I stepped into the world of ServiceNow development and spent the next seven years building solutions, integrations, and automated workflows. It was a rewarding chapter, and I grew a lot as a developer.

But the pull toward electronics never disappeared. I’d always wanted to build something of my own and eventually return to the hands‑on engineering that first sparked my passion. That feeling stayed with me, quietly shaping the path that would lead to MAD Electronics.

Where We Are Today

My current workbench is a standard desk repurposed into a clean, simple repair setup — nothing extravagant, just the essentials I’ve collected over the years. It’s the space where every device for MAD Electronics is diagnosed, revived, and sent back into the world with a second life.
